Luc Van Malderen

Luc Van Malderen’s famous ancient castles of industry are designed without any melancholy: mines, cooling towers, smokestacks, water towers, silos… He sees industrial archaeology more a set of volumes well appointed and positioned, well timed, a cemetery where these buildings can rust and ruin. The artist was graphic designer and teacher in visual communication at La Cambre in Brussels.
