Atelier geedeecee is a project by Gert De Clercq , who is a visual artist and graphic designer. In the Brussels studio – orderly and neat – he strives for control over form and color in his artworks, all made on panel or canvas. They are strongly graphically inspired and have a clean look. The mainly geometric figures are given bright, saturated colors and are placed in a well considered composition with a nod to minimalism and color field painting. Atelier geedeecee avoids direct references to recognizable objects and the observable reality. The emphasis is on an aesthetic experience resulting from the interaction between shape and color.
