Leopoldine Roux, born in Lyon (FR) lives and works in Brussels since 2003. She is a teacher at the Royal Academy of Arts in Uccle. Use of color is key to her “Bubble Paintings”. The controlled colored “dots” are exuberant, overwhelming, playful and brilliant. From a composition point of view, a balance is sought between the white canvas and the overlapping painted polka dots. Her works carry a lightness, giving them a humorous touch.
