Lives and works in Gent (BE)

Dupani paints colorful fantasy creatures and organisms in a bright colored landscape made out of abstract and repetitive elements. The vision of a strange and unknown underwater world comes to mind. A reference to tribal arts (like aboriginal art) can be found, art which Dupani admires a lot herself. She writes about her work on her website:
“In my work I always try to create an organism from a certain line or pattern. Usually it starts with a pattern that you find in nature. Just think of water, a forest, stones and so on. The idea is always to create an image that achieves the same intensity as when a dream arises. It is difficult to imagine or remember how a dream begins. Yet I want to try to grasp this beginning by making dreams on the canvas myself”.
