Florien paints what is near. Nature, portraits of her loved ones, objects in her studio, objects in her home or sometimes an old photograph. She paints from an inner urge that many artists experience. She has carefully observed the images she chooses beforehand. She picks out fragments and makes the image her own. Through this fascination, the artist becomes one with her chosen image which allows her to give a new interpretation. This often results in an overwhelming use of color, detached from reality and surreal. As a viewer you can therefore easily get lost in her painted poetic world.
