Liesbeth Willaert from Leuven has been living and working in Barcelona since 2015. Her painting style is rather lyrical and is characterized by an abundant color palette and a composition of organic and graphic forms. Use of color is very essential for Liesbeth. While painting, Liesbeth relies on the intuitive urge to express her inner self. Her different moods are reflected in different layers of paint. She calls her artworks “Color (e)scapes” because for her, it is literally a journey where she escapes from reality. She hopes to inspire, reveal and above all connect with the viewer.
