Haviks Nest (aka Bart Henri A. Leus) was born in Dendermonde and crossed the country throughout his life to land in Oosterzele in 2019.
He works on an impressive musical oeuvre in his home studio. As a former Narafi and KASK student he cross-influences his music and paintings. Out of a musical composition he creates a vivid painting and vice versa. His paintings are full of energy and need space to expand their dynamism on the wall. They might seem a bit aggressive and dramatic at first sight but a well chosen composition is still visible. The artist puts his thoughts, his demons on canvas as a way of dealing with life. One feels the intensity by watching Haviks Nest’ art which makes it very interesting.
