Lives and works in Aalst (BE)

Graduated in 1973 at the Sint-Lucas Institute Ghent, in the studio of Dan Van Severen, André Van Schuylenbergh was noted in the eighties as the “enfant terrible” of painting at that time. He is not only an artist by excellence, but also a passionate design freak and collector. Van Schuylenbergh is known by his specific lining in the design of the feminine silhouette, the result of a radical styling. A preference for ethnic art and established masters such as Picasso, Miró, Salome, Hockney, Warhol and Basquiat affects him firmly in the evolution of his colorful work.
