Joor Verhoeven

For Joor Verhoeven, painting has been a true passion for more than three decades. In her paintings she shows a way of thinking that is guided by fantasy without any controlling ratio. Her paintings revolve around the coincidence of color, shape and residual shape. Yet she always manages to find the right balance in this. Her father used to work in a molding factory. As a child, she was fascinated by the positive and negative form in the molding process. Now she integrates this idea into her artworks, she uses packaging and cut-outs as a template for example.
